Vulnerable witnesses and defendants - advocates' toolkits
The Advocate’s Gateway website gives free access to practical, evidence-based guidance on vulnerable witnesses and defendants. The Advocate's Gateway is an initiative of the Advocacy Training Council in the United kingdom.
A number of toolkits have been developed to provide advocates with general good practice guidance when preparing for trial in cases involving a witness or a defendant with communication needs. Topics covered in the toolkits include:
