Summary This study examines the effects of victimisation on psychological and daily life functioning. It also investigates how social support contributes to the victims' recovery and the effect on recovery of interactions with the offender. The methodology used in the study consisted of focused interviews, with the results not intended to be generalised to the general victim population, but to form the basis for future research.
