Summary This article examines research projects in relation to women and victimisation that have utilised longitudinal methods. 32 projects were identified and a summary of the key methodological features of each project is presented in table format, covering the name of the study, the focus, how the participants were recruited, the participation rate, the retention and the incentives offered to participants. The analysis is discussed in depth with identification of what has worked well and recommendations for further longitudinal research.
